Day 1 Upon arrival at the Cusco airport or bus terminal, our team will be ready to welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After some time to rest and acclimatize, you’ll begin your journey through Cusco’s rich past with a guided City Tour. Explore a blend of Inca and colonial heritage as you visit iconic landmarks such as the Qoricancha Temple (Temple of the Sun), the Cusco Cathedral, and the surrounding archaeological complexes like Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. With professional guidance and all entrance fees included, this tour is a perfect introduction to the city’s historic significance and unique charm.
Day 2 Start the day with a scenic journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of the most fertile and beautiful regions in the Andes. Visit Pisac, famous for its Inca ruins and colorful artisan market, and continue to Ollantaytambo, a living Inca town with an impressive fortress and breathtaking terraces. Along the way, enjoy a buffet lunch with traditional Andean flavors. In the late afternoon, transfer to the train station and take the Expedition/Voyager train to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll spend the night preparing for your visit to Machu Picchu.
Day 3 Wake up early and board the Consettur bus to ascend to Machu Picchu, the crown jewel of Inca architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With your local expert guide, explore Circuit 2 (subject to availability), taking in the ceremonial temples, sacred plazas, and agricultural terraces that define this wonder of the world. After the guided tour, descend to Aguas Calientes for a tourist menu lunch, followed by your return train to Ollantaytambo and transport back to Cusco. A full day of wonder and discovery comes to a close with a relaxing night at your hotel.
Day 4 Set out early in the morning for an unforgettable trek to Vinicunca, better known as Rainbow Mountain, famous for its natural stripes of vibrant color. On the way, enjoy scenic views of high-altitude Andean landscapes, snow-capped peaks, and herds of alpacas. After the hike to the viewpoint, take in the panoramic views and capture amazing photos before returning for a buffet breakfast and lunch. Your professional guide will be with you throughout the journey to ensure safety and provide insight into the region's geology, culture, and traditions. Return to Cusco in the late afternoon for your final night in the city.
Day 5 After breakfast (if your flight schedule allows), enjoy your last moments in Cusco. At the appropriate time, you will be transferred to the airport or bus terminal, ending your incredible 5-day journey through the highlights of the Cusco region, including Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mountain.
